Recreational STARSkate
For skaters that want to skate for fun, personal achievement, and exercise. Skaters must have passed Stage 6 from the CanSkate Skills program or have strong basic skating skills. Skaters will develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of stronger stroking, edge development, free skate (jumps, spins) and synchronized skating. Skaters progress at their own rate. Skaters are assessed on a continual basis and are awarded Skate Canada Recreational STARSkate badges upon successful completion of each set of skills. Or receive a certificate upon completion of skills that do not have a badge. Lessons are taught in a group format and led by a Skate Canada certified registered professional coach.
