Fundraising & Volunteering
Fundraising is an essential part of the ongoing operation of the Club. Skate Gillam is a non-profit organization providing support and guidance to all its members. The Club receives no financial support from provincial or federal government sources, and must rely on registration fees and fundraising.
All registered members of the Skate Gillam Skating Club will be expected to participate in fundraising.
The success of Skate Gillam comes from the volunteers. The Club operates on the time and energy of the member and parent/guardian volunteers, coach(es) and our volunteer board. Parents/Guardians are required to volunteer time to the Club through fundraising, taking part on the board and/or preparing for skate shows or competitions.
Fundraising Activities for 2023-2024
The Mom's Pantry fundraiser will once again take place in October so that orders should arrive prior to the Christmas season. Order forms will be located on the bulletin boards in the Gillam Co-op, Gillam Rec. Centre and the Gillam Mall. Parent/guardian volunteers will be needed for deliveries when the orders arrive in November.
